Welcome to
TheĀ  Eastern Dorrigo

Surrounded by pristine national parks and state forests, the plateau offers a peaceful and scenic escape,

where fertile farmland meets ancient rainforest and protected wilderness.

The Eastern Dorrigo Plateau is nestled in the hinterland of Coffs Harbour on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, approximately an hour east of Dorrigo and about an hour inland from Coffs Harbour.Ā

This mountain community is made up of a collection of small villages, Lowanna and Ulong, and rural farming communities, all set within a dramatic landscape of rolling hills and forested ridgelines.Ā

Our Heritage

The Roots of The Eastern Dorrigo

The history of The Eastern Dorrigo is a narrative of resilience and profound connection to the landscape. Established by pioneers drawn to the fertile plateau and temperate climate, the district flourished as a hub of agricultural innovation and timber harvesting. From these rural beginnings emerged a community where heritage is preserved in every ridgeline and valley. Today, we celebrate the enduring spirit of our forebears, whose commitment to the land established the vibrant community hub we cherish today.
